Okay, so here’s something we can do here, both as a bit of fun and to help us develop our story characters a little more.
Those of you who do courses in these creative writing things and those who’ve read books have probably come across the idea of writing an ‘interview’ with a character you create, getting them to answer questions you pose to them.
Well that’s what we’ll be doing here, except the important twist being that we wil be asking questions to OTHER people’s characters. The interview ‘setting’ can be envisioned however you like (I often thing of a football press interview, but it could just be a one-on-one armchair interview), and you can ask any character from any story on this here site any question you like.
The author must reply back in character, and in nothing else. No ‘OOC’ no parenthesis, nothing. They do not, however, have to answer the question, if answering it would ruin their story…or they just feel that answering the question would be something the character would not do, meaning that for some characters, you’ll have to choose your questions carefully. You can only ask one question at a time, though different people can ask different questions to different characters before any answers are written. You can even ask fan-fiction characters their thoughts, seeing as even established characters will be portrayed differently than they would in canon material. Just say the author’s name before the characters to clairy (e.g. ‘Rict’s Master Chief, how do…’)
Well, anyway, I suppose we don’t have any ‘character’ pieces here just yet, so I’ll begin by questioning one of Mak’s characters from back on the old OW.
“Mr. Jester, exactly how old ARE you?”

"Far older than you"
I think I'll also ask a character from the old OW a question, Seer Fox' Sinclair specifically. "So Sinclair, why is it you pick your teeth with your gun? Surely that is not exactly professional?" P.s. I like the idea of this thread, hope to see more people post . ~MTWC

Sinclair raises AN eyebrow at the question, abandoning his reclining position.
"Strange question, that. If you ain't noticed yet, I'm not exactly what one would call 'professional', in the strictest sense. Far as I see there's no harm in it, provided I don't squeeze the trigger. An' I don't shoot when I don't want to."
His smile widens somewhat at this last comment.
"Well, there was this one time where...ah, nevermind. Reia probably wouldn't want me to tell that story, an' I don't want to get any grief for it later neither. Suffice to say, I did it because I was bored and because there wasn't a toothpick handy."
"Mr. Jester, why do you continue to go to your parents graves?"

I have a question for Samuel the hitman as well.
Seeing as you're bored by the wait, why do you give the target a fighting chance and therefore open up the possibility of ANOTHER long wait and/or not get paid?

"Samuel? Now I have a question for the interviewer; why should I bother to answer a question from a guy who can't even get my name right?"
Leaning over the table, Sinclair fixes his eyes on the man, regarding him for a very uncomfortable minute. Having sufficiently cowed the gaping moron, Sinclair decided to carry on anyway.
"You seem to assume alot about what I do and what my actions mean. They aren't my actions. And I didn't do anything. I have as much worth as words on a page, and can be altered just as easily as them if it were so desired...I'd never notice a thing. So I didn't give them a chance. All things happen as are meant to happen, it wouldn't matter if I used one bullet or a thousand, if my targets weren't supposed to die, then they wouldn't die."
Relaxing back into his chair, a small grin slipped onto his face.
"I wouldn't expect you to understand though."
No question this time.

Difficult people always die on mondays. It is one of the endless in-jokes of existence that it should correspond with the common human starting day of the working week.

"To Makenshi's Shiva, can you find the asymptotes of x/(3x-1)? And exactly WHY do you respond so politely to that doctor chap?"

Shiva glances at the interviewer, his eyes quickly passing over them as if to assess them as quickly as possible. His face remains serene.
"Yes. Eligos is not special, he is simply not a threat to her. If he becomes a threat I will kill him, just like anyone else."

For the unnamed character from Antiphon untilled. What is your name and is there anything specific you don’t like about metal or is it a general phobia?

Mara, glanced up at the butterfly that had landed on the window on her right. Laying the book down she sung to herself “Butterfly, butterfly, why do you ask? I know not, I ask not, Nor ever had a home.”
“Butterfly, butterfly, how could you ask? Where I want not know, where understanding is beyond.”
And went on to hum the rhyme while watching the butterfly.
I don’t want to spoil the plot line for anybody who wants to read Aqua, so sorry for the above modification. The actual rhyme is below, my version is not very good, sorry.
“Butterfly, butterfly, Whence do you come? I know not, I ask not, Nor ever had a home.”
“Butterfly, butterfly, Where do you go? Where the sun shines, And where the buds grow.”
