I found this site because a friend told me about it.
I like to read most things, I do at times prefer a certain genre - depending on mood, at the moment I am partial to a good love story. I have always and will always love magic.
A good story is one that makes me feel like I am there, actually experiencing what is occuring.
I write what I am feeling - all of my poetry (unless a response to a challange, and sometimes even then) is based on what I am feeling, as my writing is connected to my emotions I can get extremely bad writers block at times.
Hobbies? hanging out with my friends, doing absolutely nothing, playing cards when I am supposed to be studying - doing anything but studying whn I am supposed to be studying.
How am I?
I'm well thank you, and was glad someone had asked, untill of course you withdrew the question.
Who am I?
I am who I want to be, I am a friend ( I hope), a sister and a daughter. I'm not to keen on stereotypes, I am up for a laugh at times, but enjoy the quiet silence of my own solitude, at times I guess I can be an oxymoron. I like to think that I am open minded, I guess to find out who I am you will have to think maybe in time you may be able to tell me who I am.
I can be a chatter box, or I can be very quiet, I enjoy logic, I love facts, I live physically in a world of science but my heart lies with the arts.
I think I answered everything. Now, how about some of you return the favour and tell me abit about you?

You really got into your introduction there Grin

I talked about myself in the first post.

Name's Antiphon/Fadingjew/Kitsune Tsuki, all depends on my mood or where I'm at.  I'm 15, 16 in May.  Enjoy video games and wargaming.  That's about it.
I really can't say much beyond that.  I enjoy reading and writing, as sparsely as I do such.

How did your friend find the site? (I'm really interested in how people got here)

I will form my own oppinions about people as I get to know them and their work.
The world often calls those whom they don't understand crazy, and why do you act so insulted by the comments, I know full well I am insane - why else would I be here?
Remember the old latin saying 'insanity est rectus, sulum has is',  (Insanity is natural, everyone has it.)
It is just only some of us are willing to admit it.
If you don't take so much offence they might stop calliing you crazy.

Oh no, I accept that I'm crazy; far crazier than anyone else here, infact. It just annoys me that people use it to discount my opinion on things, is all.

Which I'm sure they don't, seeing as I'm a highly valued member on this board. Right guys?

so we all admit we are crazy, yet the only person whos views are discredited because of it are yours, are you sure there isn't something you are missing here? or is there something I don't know about the situation?

I think there's a fundamental misunderstanding here...

He's just going for the sympathy vote.

At this point I would say just ignore him, but that would prove his point. So hey, go feel sorry for him! Have a ball. Oh and don't invite me. I never was into that kinda thing.

Hey hey hey now Xiou, hold the phone there. That's just the sort of 'off the cuff' remark I'm talking about; you've known me long enough to know I don't go fishing for sympathy.

Though come to think of it, this whole conversation is pretty pointless, and I ain't usually the guy to complain about all this kinda ****, so I'm gonna let it all drop. Since when did something so inaffectual get so serious anyway? At this rate I'll turn into Mak...

Hey all I'm Loki.   Afro
I dont write much myself although I'm working on a story which may or may not be finished in 10 years time, I might post the first few chapters sometime.
Favourite books? Too many to list. Lets just say anything in the realm of fantasy and sci fi that grabs my attention for more than 5 minutes. I do like most books I've read that are set before the 20th century.
I'm not sure how I found the site I think it popped up in some random web search.

welcome one and all, oh and a point about insanity, if you are smart say you're insane, you're probably right anyway and:
A) the police can't hold you in a jail cell if you declare yourself insane as this compromises your mental health. and
B) psychiatric wards can't hold you because to declare yourself insane means you are sane enough to realise you have a problem and thus not insane enough to need medicle treatment.

so welcome to a place where 99% of us are insane and 99% of us are smart enough to declare it openly.

Dream, there is alot to be said for dreams, even if theres is no chance it will come true. There is comfort in the knowledge you can still dream of it. Nothing great was acomplished without detailed planning, no plan was ever drawn up without a dream of an acomplishment. They did not build the apollo rockets until after man dreamed of reaching out and touching the stars. How? How is irrelevant, as long as there is a why, and the why can be simply "I want to!", the how will be worked out later.
