Insanity ends in one of two ways. Wisdom or death. Or possibly neither. says: Hey, let's meet up in real ife! Insanity is natural, everyone has it says: YOU MISPELLED 'LIFE' WORLOCK. I SHALL DEVOUR YOUR BABIES. Seer Fox says: DO NOT WANT! But then I came around to the idea. So, us british members of OW will be having a mass **** on the 27th of July in Oxford. If anyone is interested in said ****, post here. We shall make a time and a place within the city if there is enough interest. Ciat, Seer Fox KT: Removed your previous reasoning for why we are doing this. SF: Added what I recall it to be.

I a so glad that whenever people try to set up a sensible respectable writing forum people like you put this up, in announcements? surely the lounge would be more appropriate.

Dream, there is alot to be said for dreams, even if theres is no chance it will come true. There is comfort in the knowledge you can still dream of it. Nothing great was acomplished without detailed planning, no plan was ever drawn up without a dream of an acomplishment. They did not build the apollo rockets until after man dreamed of reaching out and touching the stars. How? How is irrelevant, as long as there is a why, and the why can be simply "I want to!", the how will be worked out later.

I thought you were british, and thus understood sarcasm, maybe not. i still don't think it belongs in announcements.

As I have found on many an occassion, sarcasm does not convey well over teh netXX0rz.
More is the pity. And there ain't no other place for an ANNOUNCEMENT like this.

this isn't an announcement is a random concept, and should probably be in the lounge.

A random concept of everyone in Britain meeting up for a general get together...no. This is an announcement of intent, and thus belongs here.
On a random note though, Muse ROCK THE ****.

And if that wasn't an announcement, this is:
I WILL PAY.
No point having a job and money if I can't do **** like this. Everyone who can't get there because of money, I will pay for. We aren't having no excuses like that here.

I am OUTRAGED, putting words like that in our mouths, Seer I would expect better from a Global Moderator.
I repeated them from memory. I can't help it if my memory is a little hazy. (Ahahaha!) And this is a UK only trip, so I'll be aiding in the pay for our UK bretheren. Also...we might be moving location to somewhere more UK central, like Sheffield or Liecester, as it costs me a good 55 english pounds to get to oxford, which, unless I'm spending the night there too, is a bit excessive. Me and FJ were thinking of a bigger, worldwide one for next year. THERE WILL BE NO ****
No-one'll come if they think that... Ciat, Seer Fox

I would come, but it's a bit of a long way. And I have no car. In fact, I can't even drive yet. I could ride, but then it's an even longer way. And I don't know if you can take bikes on the train under the channel. Or even if the train is still running. Or was it the ferry that closed? Anyway, whatever.

I can't do it on such short notice I'm afraid, I'm still trying to get a job and can't afford to take time off of the job hunting.

Er... I have no involvement in this plan, as the only one of you I currently know is someone I'll see every day at Uni, but here's a suggestion:
Instead of picking a location and a date and trying to make people fit into it, it would be more productive to decide a date and a location around what is conveniant for the largest number of people. I know from experience that SF's modus operandi involves planning something himself and then telling everyone it's happening, which is fine when everyone lives within walking distance, but less so over the Internet.

I just checked for Mak. He can get to Liecester for £28.50. I can cover that easily. It'll cost me roughly the same.
And the date was more Worlock's planning than mine, alas...I woulda picked somewhere in August.

Well if Fox and Mak can get to Leicester for less than £30 and they want to meet up I can get the quite easily.
*blinks*
Yep, I'm there already. And seeing as you guys would be coming here I could pay for some of it... y'know, just to be considerate and all. Dunno how easy it would be for anyone else to get here. But the offer is there. And so are a few good pubs (one of which I spent all night in, along with the morning... and the afternoon. My friend lives there).

I currently have £30 for food and 2 weeks until I have to give my landlord £160 for rent (of which I have none). I'm afraid I can't afford to take a break at the moment, however much I would like to.
